Happy Me routinely provides treatment of Mental Health Issues in a counselling and group therapy framework. We also provide Clinical Supervision, Workshops and Training Programs, share our premises with a Remedial Massage Therapist, and work in close partnership with Medical Practitioners and other professionals. We asses and provide treatment from evidence based research, and work with clients to develop creative strategies that are best-fit with their needs and resources. Our goal is to facilitate services that empower you to be a "Happy Me".
Why choose to see a Social Worker? A Social Worker is a University qualified Therapist that has completed specific training and clinical experience in the treatment of Mental Health Disorders. Medicare certifies Mental Health Social Workers to provide treatment to clients using the same treatment strategies a psychologist would be using. As well as undertaking assessments on an individual level, Social Workers will also consider the impact of issues on family members, and may involve them in the therapy process when assessed as appropriate. Social Workers may advocate on behalf of clients when they are disadvantaged or marginalised. Social Workers at Happy Me work assertively to engage with clients who might find it difficult to take those first steps in attending an appointment e.g. adolescence, children, clients with anxiety, clients lacking in confidence about seeking support. We work closely with GP's and other Medical Practitioners - we acknowledge all referrals received, and promptly send reports after six sessions for the patient to attend review appointments.
